WIWB #2: Forks, Matrimony, and Little Piggies

Welcome back! I'm honored that you decided to return for the sequel to my last post. Onward we go!

On Saturday, right around noon, Clark and I finally made it out of the house to run some errands. We took a step out of the garage to find this:

We'd been forked!! We filled an entire bucket with the plastic utensils that had been so kindly placed in our yard by a small group of the youth from our church. Lucky for them, we'll take it as a loving joke and enjoy the fun of the prank! The majority of the forks were made of clear plastic, so the true test of our pickup skills will come around when it's time again to mow the grass.

After running said errands and making a mad rush to get all dolled up, we arrived at our friends' wedding on Saturday evening. This is the same couple who had a very enjoyable couples shower a few weeks ago. It was a small, intimate ceremony and the bride and groom really looked like they were enjoying it (as was I). As I mentioned in my last post, it's been thunderstorming a lot lately and the rain really showed up that day. The weather did clear up during the reception and allowed for a really nice time outside. Here are some pictures to highlight the night:

The bride and groom at the ceremony.

A really cool reception hall with pretty tulips and candles everywhere.

My handsome husband and me.

Another handsome husband and his gorgeous new wife making their way into the reception.

Cutting the cake (it was very tasty!)

The joyful married ones! Yay!

Sending them off with rose petals.

It was a very enjoyable night and the weather turned out to be nice and yielded a beautiful sunset. There wasn't dancing for the guests, though, which was kind of a bummer. Clark and I never get to dance, so we look forward to wedding receptions to give us such opportunities. However, the couple did get to dance together and they did parent-son/daughter dances which were very cute.

We got home earlier than we expected to and got to relax, watch a movie, and spend quality time together. I'll leave something to the imagination for you and save the movie details for another review post soon to come.

Little know, one little piggie went to the market, one little piggie stayed home? Yes, everyone, I speak of toes. Last night I gave myself a pedicure, and it was oh-so-good. I never give myself pedicures because, well, I just don't care very much. However, gross as this may be, I've paced many a step on my two feet and they were pretty grumpy about it. They expressed their frustration in the forms of rough skin and calluses which in turn made me grumpy. I needed to get rid of those areas, so I scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed and got *most* of it off. Bummer...if I take care of my feet more regularly I guess it might get easier. But today, they're like two new feet, ready and willing to bear my weight for many more adventures. The whipped cream was some fresh nail polish and the cherries on top were the new flower sticker decals I got to go on the market piggies. The purchase and subsequent application of these stickers was a result of jealousy I have of my friend Kady's toes (which are always pretty and never without a cute decal). But you know what, that's ok by toes are pretty in pink now. Clark may prefer that I not reveal that he also received a pedicure from his wife, so I won't.

Yes. I know I have crooked toes. Everyone does.

Well, that's all for now, stay tuned for a third WIWB edition soon!
