EDITED: Works for Me Wednesday: 5 Ingredients or Less!

I'm a fan of the popular blog Rocks in my Dryer. Every Wednesday, she posts a themed topic called "Works for Me Wednesday". This week, she's invited readers to post their favorite recipes using 5 or less ingredients (hence the post title). I LOVE to cook, and I pride myself on challenging recipes, but here are some very simple ideas to use as side items to your meals.

Garlic Brits (ok, so this has 6 ingredients...but it's too easy not to post!)
Ingredients (use as much as you want):
Thomas' English Muffins (these are the best with the fork-splitting and the nooks and crannies, yum!)
Spreadable butter
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
Dry Italian Seasoning herbs

Split your English muffins, and before toasting, spread on a modest amount of butter. Then sprinkle on the remaining dry ingredients. Toast as normal. There you go, garlic bread in a flash! For a nice twist, add some Parmesan cheese!

EDITED: When I say "toast", I mean put on a rack and toast in a toaster oven...not vertically in a toaster. That would be silly! Oops!

Garlic Crescents
Ingredients:
1 package of Pillsbury original Crescent Rolls
Spreadable butter
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
Dry Italian Seasoning herbs

This is obviously just like the Garlic Brits but with crescent rolls. Split the triangles, and before rolling and cooking, spread the butter and add the ingredients. Then roll them up and bake according to the package directions!

Cinnamon Breakfast Crescents
Ingredients:
1 package of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
Spreadable butter
Cinnamon and Sugar blend

Again, the same process as the Garlic Crescents. Separate the triangles, spread the butter, sprinkle the cinnamon sugar, roll, and bake. Could not be any easier! We eat these for breakfast by themselves, not as a side item, but either way, they're tasty!

Enjoy!

Umm... please tell me that you don't butter your bread and then put it in the toaster.

Because then I will have to 1.) laugh at you and 2.) worry about your house burning down.

UGH. I meant toaster OVEN. Thanks for pointing that out...I feel like a doofus.

You can still laugh at me, though.
