Well, last night we made it to our anniversary dinner! But let's rewind so you don't miss any of the details about my day (because I know you care).
Woke up, still felt sick, and emailed my boss to tell him that I'd be working from home. I never got a response from him, but I did get a few nasty emails from a coworker (my boss' other assistant). That kind of rubbed me the wrong way, but I worked really hard all day anyway. Clark came home from work early to take care of me, but unfortunately, I couldn't let him. I had too much work to do, and I ended up finishing my reports at about 8:00.
The restaurant was 45 minutes away.
Anyway, after I saved my work, I showered and got ready and we sped out the door. We were nervous the whole time because we didn't think we'd make it there before they closed the kitchen. We made it to the fondue place just in time, and even though our waiter was a little grumpy about us coming in so late, he was nice enough.
We had a cheddar cheese appetizer and a steak/shrimp/veggie entree (you can guess which of the three I ate). I don't care for fondue entrees all that much, but the cheese and dessert are wonderful! I wasn't disappointed. We had white chocolate amaretto dessert fondue which was wonderful. I loved it. We had been to the place a couple times before, but I think the food was the best this time. Yay!
Since our dinner was so late, we didn't make it to the movies afterwards. We're still planning that, maybe for this weekend. I guess we're making it a whole week long celebration!
Anyway, the other small updates include that I was going to put in my three week's notice tomorrow, but I'm not going to. I chickened out, again. I just don't have another job secured yet, and with the job market being the way it is, there's no guarantee that I'll find another job anytime soon. So, I'd better not quit the one I've got. The good news is that Clark's boss (in a different division) may have a position for me opening up in the next few weeks. Maybe that would work out, and that'd be a very smooth transition.
Clark got his motorcycle fixed and we took it on a spin around town after work today. It hurt my back, but the fresh air was definitely worth it. Plus, motorcycle time is just like cuddle time, because I get to hug Clark wherever we go!
I'm nervous about my back appointment on Monday. I'm afraid there will either be no treatment available or that the only treatment available will be really, really painful. Boo.
My family sticker came today! I haven't put it on yet, though, because my rear windshield is oh so dirty. But soon, friends. Keep hanging on.
Well, that's all I can think of for right now. Thanks for stopping by, stay classy!
