Fifty Posts! Well bloggy friends, it's been fun so far. Blogging is still enjoyable, so that's pretty cool. There are more of you readers than I ever thought there would be. Thanks to the firewall at work, I can't veiw my page counter, but last time I checked, this blog was up to 175 unique page visits. I don't know who all of you are, but thanks for making me feel good about myself. I know most of my friends have gotten a lot more views on their blogs than I have, but honestly, I'm thrilled to have more than 5 people read my stuff. I think that's pretty neato.
Feel free to comment if you want and introduce yourselves! I'd love to know who's becoming more enlightened thanks to my words of wisdom. ...Ok, well maybe you're just bored and stumbled across this page, but I still want to know you!
No word back from the doctor yet about my spine MRI. A couple thoughts have been keeping my mind busy for the past few days: 1) maybe my results are so bad that the doctor doesn't know how to break the news to me, and 2) he got the results back but they didn't show anything wrong so he doesn't know how to help me. Or maybe they just haven't gotten the results back yet. Either way, I'm convinced I've got a pea-sized tumor growing in my lumbar facet joint and that I'm going to die soon. Maybe I've got a little bit of The Crazy, too.
I'll be leaving work a couple hours early today for a spur-of-the-moment family reunion. I've got family who lives in Germany...cool, right? I love Germany, and thanks to the family there, I've been very blessed to visit the country six times. Maybe I'll get to live there someday. I love that family. It consists of my uncle (dad's brother), my aunt, and my little cousin. The cousin, Gloria, is the baby of our family generation - the only one younger than me! I kind of like that, plus she is super sweet and wonderful. They are in America for a vacation for three weeks. They already spent time up north with the rest of my family there, and now they are actually in MY state spending a week at the beach. Too bad there's a tropical storm here, bummer. Anyway, the fam is super laid back and go-with-the-flow, and why not? They're on vacation. My uncle called me this morning and wants to get together tonight at the beach, and I am SO excited! I haven't seen them since my last visit to Germany in January of 2003. They've never met Clark, and so I'm really excited to introduce him to everyone. I'm sure I'll have plenty of pictures to share tomorrow. Stay tuned!
