My first day was great! I had real work to do for most of the day, which really made the time fly by. Sadly (or not), I was even so preoccupied with learning and working and making friends that I forgot to eat my lunch! I'll take that as a good reason.
I'll be really busy at the new job. I was unlocking units, managing spreadsheets, packing and shipping products, processing orders, answering phones, and providing troubleshooting support to customers! Whew! My main project there will be cleaning and organizing the office (it's a mess) and developing a more efficient database software to aid the company's processes. It'll be a hefty undertaking but I'm pretty confident that I'll do a good job. And the other [three] employees are so friendly! The boss is really personable, respectABLE, and respectFUL. All good things - things my last boss severely lacked. I think this will be a good fit for me and I'll have a good time working there. With it being such a teeny tiny company, I think I'll actually be able to DO something that will have a positive impact on the business instead of just doing busywork day in and day out.
Ahh, I think I'm going to enjoy this "liking work" thing. Finally!
