Real Friends Meet in Hillbilly Places

I really don't want to forget to mention that I was blessed to be able to share my Pumpkintown Festival experience (with the exception of the parade) with my dearest friend Bonnie. She and her husband Joe (also a good friend) were returning home from the Catalyst ministry conference in Atlanta. Fortunately, Pumpkintown was only about a 20 minute detour from their route home (up north), so they came and spent some of their travel day with us. We had a really great time together!

Bonnie's the type of best friend that you don't need to talk to all the time to stay close. We usually email on a pretty regular basis, but even if we don't, it's never awkward to see each other. We just pick up right where we left off, and we're very close. We've seen each other's ugliest sides and we've been there for each other through a lot of tough stuff. She's a keeper, for sure.

Except she doesn't read my blog. Soooo, she'll never see all the great things I'm writing about her. Oh well, we'll keep it our little secret. Bonnie's a wonderful friend. I love her very much. Shhhh....
