When we got back from Honduras, I cut my hours to go to 20 hours a week instead of 40+. And it feels oh.so.good. I will eventually not be working there at all, but I like my job so I'm not really in a rush to leave. Probably between the end of this month and the middle of October, I'll have my last real work day.
Since I love the people there so much, I offered to work trade shows and go on trips, and otherwise fill in so that no one else would have to leave the office. My boss thought he'd kick things off for me by sending me off to Anaheim, CA at the end of October! Wahoo! I've never been, and I think I've been hearing Mickey calling to me. Disneyland Mickey has apparently gotten jealous that Disney World Mickey got to see me last year. Now it's his turn. Oh wait... I'm not going to Anaheim for Disneyland... I'm actually going to work a Solar Power Generation trade show. Oh well. Maybe I can hit up DL at night. I'm going for a whole week, after all! I'm sure I'll be able to squeeze in some M-I-C K-E-Y H-U-G-S!!!
So there's quite a substantial update for you :) Now, you ask, what am I doing with these bookoos of extra time? Well, I'm spending more time with Jesus (awesome), putting in hours serving the church here and there, editing photos from some sessions, and being domestic. When we have kids someday, I'll be a stay-at-home mom, and so since God has blessed us greatly, I'm going to take the opportunity before kiddos to love on people and serve them in different ways. I'm very excited for this new chapter to fully begin, and it's well on it's way!
