I made it 20 weeks! I know all my posting lately has probably worn your poor eyes out, so I'll make it short and sweet. Things are still going really well, I'm gaining weight (up a total of 8 pounds now), and I'm off my Zofran without any residual nausea! The shots are going well and aren't very painful. Just had my 5th one today, 15 more to go. Puggle - er, I mean Julee - is kicking up a storm and likes to make sure I remember she's in there. Without those kicks, I think I could forget I'm pregnant a lot of the time.
I've started brainstorming ideas for Julee's room which is exciting. I had a room for a boy all picked out, because like I said yesterday, I really was so sure Puggle was a boy! I'm going to keep the same general idea for a girl but with some variations. I can't share with you just yet, because my friend Christy pointed out a while back that I never even shared what I did for Lily Mae's room! So, first things first....I'm not going to share the new baby's room until I share the older one's.
Now that I'm 5 months preggers, it's time to start getting down to business to get prepared for #2. Especially since she's a girl, we hardly need anything which is really great. But there are still a few things that we need: mostly big ticket items like a new crib and dresser. I scored a really great Dutailier gilder last weekend at a yard sale for only 100 bones. It's blue and needs to be recovered, but I would have probably made a matching slipcover no matter what glider I got. (I wanted a better glider this time because a.) my $30 Craigslist find from last time squeaks & has no armrest pads and b.) I didn't realize how much time I would spend in it. A nice glider is well worth the investment - wish I would have known the first time around.) Cloth diapers are amazingly awesome and the two girls will be able to share the same diapers, and while I won't need to double my stash I will still need more than I have now. Thankfully, I'll really benefit from owning my own diaper store. ;) The biggest issue really is a matter of transportation: I need new wheels. Two car seats will fit into my car's backseat, no problem, but my husband's legs won't then fit up front. Not to mention we'll need some additional cargo room in the back; a small SUV is the direction we're headed I'm afraid. I know what I'd love - we'll just have to go on a test drive, do some measurements, and see if it will be a good fit for our growing family. So these few financial bits are on the table for us to figure out soon. Sigh. I wish everything I needed was free.
Here's this week's belly picture!
